Fae Fälla Chapter II is the second collection of intuited 'Kulning' songs, written and performed by Shannon Pearl.

Each track is named after the type of tree or place that inspired it. All songs we're written in the moment and are performed live on video on Instagram.

Intuited in the forests of northern England and brought to life in the studio, these songs are a modern take on a centuries old practice. Kulning is a vocal technique practiced in several Nordic countries, including Norway, Sweden and eastern Finland. This technique was traditionally used to call grazing animals home from their alpine pastures. Shannon Pearl began Kulning as a hobby, using the long, ornamented calls in the forests and hills; for fun, to gain the attention of birds and animals and to listen to the natural reverb her singing created within different environments. After sharing her forest shenanigans on TikTok, her kulning quickly went viral, and lo – Fae Fälla EP was born.
